Guiseley girl passes motorbike test on 17th birthday
Teenager Amy Kershaw has taken to the road after passing her motorcyle test on her 17th birthday.
Amy, a pupil at Benton Park took her A2 motorcycle test on her 17th birthday - the first day she was legally allowed to ride on the road with such a motorcycle.
Amy passed after working hard to gain the standard she needed. Most of her training was on the highway with a 50cc moped, and she has also trained on private land with a 125cc motorcyle.
The owners of Tommy Bee Motorcyle Training where she trained say they have never known another case of anyone passing the motorcycle test on their 17th birthday.
Tom Blears, her instructor, said: "Amy has worked very hard for this and has maturity and road awareness beyond her years."
