Guiseley mill backs Prince of Wales' wool campaign

A Guiseley mill will create a unique fabric using wool fibre from Commonwealth countries as part of the Prince of Wales’ Campaign for Wool.
The bales of fibre were handed over to John Walsh, of Abraham Moon, after being transported by the Kennet barge along a 200-year-old trade route from Liverpool to Saltaire.
The barge, built in 1947 and refurbished in 2012, left Liverpool docks on August 15 loaded with wool from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. It collected the last bale of British wool at Skipton.
The Guiseley mill will create a woven wool tweed fabric, with colours representing the Commonwealth nations.
