Naked Otley Chevin walker case dropped

Charges against a rambler arrested for walking naked on Otley Chevin have been dismissed.

Naturist Nigel Keer, 42, of Cottingley, was arrested by an off-duty police officer for causing distress to a woman walking her dog on the beauty spot last October.

He was found guilty of the public order offence by magistrates but has been appealing against the ruling ever since.

Mr Keer’s appeal was upheld on Monday when Leeds Crown Court head the charges would be dropped because it was unlikely his unclothed walk had caused anyone distress.
