Choir concert to help Menston girl, Eve
8:00am Saturday 15th September 2012 in Local news
Tickets are on sale now for an all-female choir concert to raise funds to help a seven-year-old girl in her rehabilitation after a life-changing operation.
The Ladies Please concert takes place on September 21, and is supporting the Eves Journey appeal.
Eve Williams underwent a specialist operation in the St Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri, USA, in July in a bid to help her walk independently.
The seven-year-old, from Menston, who has quad-riplegic cerebral palsy, had selective dorsal rhizotomy surgery after more than £100,000 was raised to help pay for the treatment and physiotherapy.
The concert takes place at 7.30pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Bradford Road, Menston, and also features Ilkley child star Alexandra Keeley, who at eight is the youngest ever performer to be admitted to the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
Tickets are free of charge from Menston Post Office, but a collection will be held to raise money for Eves Journey.
