Online support is gathering for a musician’s charity single and video in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Former St Mary’s School in Menston student Chris Stocks, of Horsforth, released his single and video – Our Time – last week, with all proceeds going to charity.

The project involves a number of high-profile actors and actresses. Coronation Street’s Bill Ward, who played Charlie Stubby, appears in the video, which was shot by GUN pictures, formed by Anthony and Christopher Lewis with the backing of their brother, Harry Potter film star Matthew Lewis.

Anthony Lewis said it is not yet known exactly how sales of the single – via the iTunes website store – are going, but there have been many messages of encouragement from supporters on social media websites, such as Twitter and Facebook.

“We’ve had a lot of views of the video and a lot of people have sent us e-mails and messages,” said Mr Lewis.

The video also features Hollyoaks and Fat Friends actress Sam Cunningham, and model and actress Laura Carter, whose credits include Emmerdale and Red Riding.

Mr Stocks, 29 (above), has been part of the professional music scene with several bands, including The Good Die Young.

He came up with the idea for the charity single after meeting several people who had lost loved ones to cancer.
