Rugby club seeks new blood after its successful open day
10:00am Saturday 4th August 2012 in Local news
A rugby club is looking for new blood to help boost its membership.
Aireborough Rugby Union Football Club is inviting new players to go along to its Monday night training sessions.
The club, which plays at Nunroyd Park in Guiseley, held its annual open day on July 21. The event included a sevens touch-rugby competition and family barbecue. Eight teams competed, with the male and female players, including school pupils, past veterans and current team stars. Guiseley Subway has just announced a new partner-ship with the club, and the company provided free sandwiches for the event.
Club chairman, Jack Osborn, said: “The event is all about interaction within the community, attracting and developing new players at the club and rewarding our members with some fun.
“We hope to welcome some of the exciting young players back for training on Monday evenings at Nunroyd.”
