Ilkley Grammar School sixth formers hosted a jubilee party for residents at Glen Rose Nursing Home, Ilkley, in their last week of term
An enthusiastic group of sixth formers spent one of the last days of the school year socialising with and entertaining the residents of Glen Rosa Nursing Home in Ilkley.
Pensioners were introduced into the world of the iPad by their visitors on July 19. Students had organised a Jubilee lunch, which was kindly provided by The Wheatley Arms.
A wonderful ambience was created, with decorations and a fantastic display of cup cakes – hand-baked by Keri Parker and Jess Doherty – which the residents really appreciated.
Organisers said it was great to see smiling faces from both the old and the young taking part.
