An urgent review of bus services is being called for by the Aireborough Civic society amid warnings that cuts are planned.
The organisation is warning that the proposed changes - which they say would include the cutting of the 966 access bus - could hit many people and it is calling for a full consultation before any decisions are made.
Civic Society spokesman Clive Woods said the routes affected were the 966 local Yeadon, Westfield, Guiseley service, and the 33 and 97 on Sundays.
He said: "It is particularly relevant to the people of Guiseley, Rawdon and Yeadon given the huge numbers of new housing developments in the area and major problems of traffic congestion and parking in the area that can only get worse unless improvements are made to local public transport."
In a strongly worded statement the civic society stresses its opposition to any cuts without a full review of all local services.
It adds: "What makes matters worse is that the full details are not yet available for changes that could be happening in just four weeks time."
The civic society says the likely changes could mean that the 33 Leeds to Ilkley bus and the 97 Leeds -Horsforth-Yeadon -Bradford bus both terminate their Sunday services at Guiseley.
Meanwhile the 966 off-peak Mon-Saturday service would become part of an Otley-Westfield-Yeadon service - missing out the Queensway, Coppice Wood and Haw Lane areas.
