Two former cubs are helping to start a new pack in Horsforth almost 80 years after the original pack was formed.
The 9th Airedale Scout Group, based at the Grove Methodist Church is expanding so that more children can join.
The pack leaders will be chartered surveyor Simon Croft and Jaedon Green, who works in a bank's marketing department.
Simon has been a Beaver leader for five years, since his own son started at the 9th, and Jaedon is a parent of one of the boys in the existing cub pack. One of the leader's mums is also going into uniform to support the new cubs and cover the vacancy left for a Beaver leader.
Simon said: "I really enjoyed being a Cub, and I'm pleased we can give more children the chance to do this."
The Group Scout Leader, Keith Whitham said: "It seems very fitting that, in the centenary year of Scouting, we are able to expand our provision for the youngsters of Horsforth."
