RAIL services on the Wharfedale Line were back to normal today after over-running engineering works caused extensive delays and cancellations yesterday.
Delays continued into Monday evening after engineering work in the Thackley tunnel - intended to have been concluded on Sunday night - went on into Monday.
The disruption hit morning commuter services hard, and many services still had not returned to normal by the evening rush hour. Trains between Bradford Forster Square and Ilkley were cancelled through the day, with a replacement bus service running between Guiseley and Bradford.
There were also delays on other train services as a knock-on effect of delays and cancellations to services running to Leeds via the Airedale Line.
More rail engineering work will affect services between Leeds, Bradford and Skipton this weekend. Replacement bus services are also being brought in between Horsforth and Harrogate on Sunday.
Travel information can be found by calling the National Rail Enquiries line on (08457) 484950, or by visiting the website at (www.nationalrail.co.uk).
