WASHBURN Parish Council is asking visitors to please take their rubbish home with them.
The plea comes after the council led an annual litter pick in the area - and ended up filling more than 90 bags with rubbish and fly-tipped items.
A spokesman said: "We encourage people to come and enjoy the amazing views, scenery, outdoor walks, cycling and so on that are available in the Washburn Valley, particularly around Fewston and Swinsty Reservoirs.
"But we would also remind people to take their litter home!
"More than 90 bags of rubbish and other dumped, or fly-tipped, items were collected in just a couple of hours during our litter pick on Saturday, April 14."
