GUISELEY and Rawdon councillor Graham Latty has been chosen as the Conservative nominee for the post of Lord Mayor of Leeds
Councillor Andrew Carter, Leader of the Conservative Group has announced that Cllr Latty will be his party's nominee for the Lord Mayoralty in the year 2018/19.
Cllr Carter said: "I am delighted to be able to announce that the Conservative nominee for next year’s Lord Mayoralty is Councillor Graham Latty.
"Graham, and his wife Pat, who will be Lady Mayoress and is also a councillor, will do a great job, and I am delighted that Graham has accepted the invitation.
"Graham and Pat have been personal friends of mine for many years, as well as senior members of our Group on the Council, Graham being my Chief Whip. They both have a passion for our city and its future, and will do an exceptional job."
