SCHOOL pupils in Otley have enjoyed meeting some of their literary heroes.
Four Young Adult writers visited Prince Henry's Grammar School last week as part of a launch tour for BKMRK - a new online hub for young readers.
Authors Cat Clarke, Leo Hunt, Chris Russell and Teri Terry talked to Year 8 students about their latest books and answered a question and answer session.
The pupils were also serenaded by Chris Russell who, as well as being the author of the Songs about a Girl trilogy, is a member of band The Lightyears.
Prince Henry's Librarian Ruth Wyss said: "It was a brilliant event, the students had a great time. "It’s always fantastic to bring books to life and Year 8 really enjoyed having the chance to meet some of their heroes and discover new authors as well.
"Reading is so important and we try and organise as many events as we can to help our students develop their enthusiasm and enjoyment."
The visit ended with the authors signing the pupils' books and 'goody bags'.
