A GUISELEY based veterinary practice has made it to the finals in two categories at the Small and Medium Enterprise National Business Awards.
White Cross Vets, which has 17 UK practices, has been shortlisted in the business of the year category and is also competing to be named the UK’s best SME employer. The awards are specifically aimed at businesses with less than 250 employees and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Wembley Stadium on December 1.
Managing Director Tim Harrison said: "Being shortlisted in two of the most highly contested categories at these national awards is a major achievement for our entire team. We are a family run business, with a big focus on the wellbeing and happiness of our people.
"Our employment initiatives include everything from giving everybody a day off and cake for their birthday, right through to providing four donation days a year where people can volunteer with a charity of their choice. We also provide a health care scheme, subsidised Fitbits and gym membership, as well as running a cycle to work scheme."
