THE annual fashion show held jointly by members of the Ilkley fundraising branch of Guide Dogs and the Edinburgh Woollen Mill raised almost £200 from ticket sales for the charity.
This was the second year running that the fashion show at the Clarke Foley Centre was held in aid of the charity. All the models were either staff or volunteers from Guide Dogs.
Gillian Saville from the Edinburgh Woollen Mill said: “It was a fantastic day and we are so pleased that we managed to raise almost £200 for Guide Dogs. Our shop was packed afterwards with customers buying what they had seen at the show, so all in all a great success for us both.”
Andrew Barton, Guide Dogs volunteer branch co-ordinator said: “The annual show is proving to be popular and this year was no exception. Once again, we are very grateful to Edinburgh Woollen Mill for agreeing to jointly host the show, and for offering such a generous discount on purchases on the day.”
