MENSTON Arts Club had their spring exhibition on Saturday, May 13 at The Kirklands Community Centre. This was very successful with over 70 paintings being sold, and almost 400 people voting for their favourite painting, although many said it was very difficult to chose just one painting. The winning painting was a beautiful painting on silk with embroidery highlighting the delicate seed heads all done by Mrs Susan Ridyard.

The cafe was very busy providing hot and cold drinks with delicious cakes, sandwiches and salads all prepared individually to order. The craft stall was also busy with many different crafts represented including jewellery, hair bands, wooden boxes, cards and delightfully painted glass vases, as usual the cake stall sold all their delicious offerings very quickly.

The next exhibition will be on November 18 and 19.
