A LOCAL councillor will lead one of the routes in this year's Otley Walking Festival.
Councillor Ryk Downes (Lib Dem, Otley & Yeadon) will lead a ten mile trek to the historic Kirkstall Forge on Monday, June 26.
The walk, which starts from the Jubilee Clock on Market Place, is one of dozens that have been lined up for this year's festival which runs from Saturday, June 24 to Sunday, July 2.
Full programmes are due to be available from Easter at Otley Courthouse, Otley Library, local businesses and Tourist Information Centres and the festival office at Chevin Trek, on Gay Lane.
Details will also be published online at chevintrek.co.uk and otleywalkingfestival.co.uk .
The organisers are keen to hear from anyone who would like to be involved or support the 2017 event.
