CHRISTMAS trees are on display at Trinity Church, Rawdon after a successful event at the weekend.

Donated trees complete with decorations adorn the church windowsills after the Christmas tree festival.

The church is holding a number of events in the run up to Christmas and is inviting everyone to attend.

On Saturday, December 10 it will hold the Big Trinity Clothes Swap, from 11am to 2pm. Nearly new clothes can be swapped to create a new wardrobe. On Sunday, December 11 at 10.30am there will be a presentation of The Nativity from Littlemore Primary School led by trainee minister Helen Lambert. Refreshments will follow the service.

On Sunday, December 18 at 10.30am a Communion Service will be led by Reverend Derek Allan, and will include judging of the Fairtrade Christmas Cake competition. On Sunday, December 18 at 4pm a Family Christingle Service will be held. On Saturday, December 24 a Noisy Nativity will be held at 4pm and communion will take place at11pm. Christmas morning family worship will take place at 10.30am on Sunday, December 25.

As part of Trinity's 1 per cent Harvest Appeal the church collected enough tools, computers, bikes and a sewing machine for two van loads for Tools with a Mission - a charity which sends tools and equipment to poor communities around the world. Brownies and Cubs put together 23 school packs.
