SANTA took time out from his busy Christmas schedule on Sunday afternoon to open the Addingham Primary School Christmas Fayre and to hand out presents to the children from his grotto.
He arrived in style in Wharfedale’s very own TukTuk service who picked him up from his Lapland cottage and transported him to Addingham.
When asked how he could spare the time he replied: "Well, I can’t really but it’s not every day you get the chance of riding in a TukTuk!”
On arrival at the school playground he was welcomed with cheers from the children who were mesmerized by his new form of transport before posing for the cameras with his four elves Arianwen, Ailsa, Evie and Sophie.
Head teacher Hilary Cave said: "We were delighted to hear that Father Christmas could spare us some time in his busy schedule to come to our school Christmas Fayre. His arrival was out of this world and really something very special!"
