OTLEY residents are being asked to nominate contenders for the town's Annual Achievement Award.
The Town Council would like to hear about anyone who has overcome adversity, achieved something outstanding or or made a difference to the community over the past 12
months.
The 2016 award features two categories, for under 18s and over 18s, and the winners - who will receive a cash prize and certificate - will be announced at next Spring's Annual General Meeting.
Nomination forms can be collected from (and returned to) Dr Jason Knowles at the Otley Core, on Orchard Gate, or suggestions can be e-mailed to
community@otleytowncouncil.ov.uk .
The deadline for completed forms is March 3, 2017.
Dr Knowles, the council's Community Development Officer, said: "If you know anyone who has achieved something outstanding or made a significant contribution to our town
during 2016 then we would like to hear from you."
The 2015 Young Persons Achievement Award was presented to Chloe Tear for her contributions to student life at Prince Henry’s Grammar School and for her charity work
and ambassadorial role with Cerebral Palsy UK.
Last year's Adult award. meanwhile, went to Mel Metcalfe for her contributions to local community activities and fundraising work for a number of local charities.
