STUDENTS from across Leeds visited a Sixth Form open evening in Otley last week.

Prince Henry's Grammar School held the event, which attracted young people from 15 secondary schools along with their parents and carers, on Thursday, November 17.

The visitors were welcomed by Headteacher Janet Sheriff and Head of Sixth Form Claire Willis, and heard speeches from the Head Boy and Head Girl before sampling taster lessons in a variety of A Level and BTEC subjects.

Head of Sixth Form Claire Willis said: "We were delighted to welcome so many students from different schools.

"Students have a real choice at this age, so it was a pleasure to see that so many are considering joining us at Prince Henry’s.

"There are still more chances to find out about all the opportunities in our high-achieving Sixth Form at a taster morning we are holding from 9am on Saturday, December 10."

One parent who attended added: "We were impressed by the talks and student guides - everyone is so passionate about their subjects.

"Great evening!"
