RIVER clearance work was carried out at Otley this week.
A team from the River Stewardship Company was busy clearing trees and other debris from the River Wharfe, downstream from the weir, on Monday, November 28.
The work is part of the Environment Agency's strategy for reducing the risk of a repeat of the serious flooding which hit the town last winter.
Otley resident and Honorary Citizen John Morgan, a keen photographer, captured this shot of the workmen in action.
