FESTIVE scenes for TV soap Emmerdale will be shot in Otley next month.
ITV has written to residents on Newmarket and New Inn Court to notify them about the filming on Monday, November 7 and Tuesday, November 8.
The letter says that ITV Emmerdale "are delighted at the thought of coming back to Otley to film for another storyline" and goes on to give details of the activities planned for both days.
They will include indoor and outdoor Christmas shopping set scenes on the Monday, along with a scene on New Market that will involve some brief, temporary traffic management.
The Tuesday filming, meanwhile, will be on New Market to begin with - and also include a scene that requires some traffic management - before moving to Otley All Saints Parish Church.
The crew has arranged parking for its technical vehicles with residents and shop owners and says it will be aiming to keep noise to a minimum and access points clear on both days.
