HEALTHY food restaurant Filmore & Union has raised a total of £245 for people facing cancer after taking part in the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

The company’s branches in York, Harrogate, Wetherby, Skipton, Ilkley and Beverley, offered customers delicious Filmore chocolate brownies or a slice of banana and pecan loaf in exchange for a donation of their choice. Members of staff also donated their tips to the charity.

All the money raised at the event will go to Macmillan.

Adele Ashley, owner of Filmore & Union, said: “We are delighted with the huge support we received from our fabulous customers.

“Thanks to their generosity, we can help support people with families living with cancer.”

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. Last year the charity raised £25 million and this year it is aiming to raise even more.
