BRADFORD Festival Choral Society is holding a workshop on Saturday, October 1 with the choir's musical director Tom Leech.
The event is from 2.30pm at All Saints Church, Little Horton Green, BD5 ONG and it is part of a series run by the choir which aims to widen its appeal and give people who may have seen choral singing on TV an opportunity to see if they might enjoy it.
The workshop will lead to a performance of Eric Whitacre’s Cloudburst and other choral works by Eriks Esenvals and Stephen Paulus. This contemporary programme gives singers a chance to experience amazing harmonies and choral effects not found in traditional choral music.
Maggie Eisner, the choir’s chair said: “If you have sung in a choir before, and want to start again, or sing in one of the other great choirs in the area or just want to have a go then we would love to see you. Come and enjoy Tom Leech’s insights, tips and humour.”
Tickets cost £12 in advance and £15 on the day. To book your place, email bradfordfestivalchoral society@gmail.com.
