A TALK about archiving the past will be given at the next meeting of Aireborough Historical Society

Carlo Harrison and Howard German will speak at Guiseley Methodist Church at 7.30pm on Thursday, September 8. Doors open at 7pm. Archiving The Past For The Future will include artifacts for the public to touch as well as a map book from the 1880s printed onto canvas which had been kept in a lead case.

The talk is one of a series on a variety of subjects which take place at the church on the second Thursday of the month.

Carlo said: "The talk is informative, and funny with plenty of opportunity for you to join in with comments and memories.

An entertaining hour."

Admission is £2 for visiting non-members and includes refreshments. Members admission is free.

The group can be found in the Archive Room in Yeadon Town hall every Monday from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
