THE ORGANISERS of Otley Carnival have welcomed their freshly crowned Queen - and thanked her predecessor.
Ashfield Primary School pupil Olivia Bradford began her year's 'reign' at the Carnival Field on Saturday, June 18.
She will be joined on official engagements by her Consort, Noah Dockar, a pupil at The Whartons Primary School.
The Carnival Committee's Press and Publicity Officer, Nigel Gill, said: "We would like to thank our retiring Queen, Olivia Driver, for all her hard work over the past year.
"We also welcome our new Queen, Olivia Bradford, and her Consort Noah Dockar.
"This will be our first year having a consort and I’m sure Olivia and her team will do us proud throughout the year."
The 2016 carnival, boosted by a flamboyant parade and dry weather, attracted large crowds.
