BOLTON Abbey Village Hall was decked with bunting, with seasonal bright sunlight streaming through the windows, creating the perfect atmosphere for the 36th Bolton Abbey Show on Saturday.

Colourful artwork on the walls of the hall was created by children from the Boyle and Petyt School. Their 3D crowns and the artwork including ‘Dream Catchers’ from the Montessori School, were all admired by visitors and organisers of the event.

There were many and varied exhibits from both adults and children, ranging from baking, home-made alcohol, needlework and home produced eggs to decorated Weetabix, Lego and more.

The show featured a ‘Come and be Creative’ class, where children come along, are given all the materials to then make something creative.

They produced some lovely items.

Organisers would like to thank the judges for their diligent work, not an easy task with the array of items in the classes.

The prizes were presented by Barry Cody, Chairman of the Village Hall Trustees. The poster competition was a great success yet again. Organisers thanked everyone who participated, helped on the day and those who came along and enjoyed the afternoon, complete with home made refreshments.
