THE DONKEY Sanctuary is celebrating an 'amazing' first year for its Otley fundraising shop.
For The Love Of... in Boroughgate was officially opened last May, and its mixture of products, information about the charity and a cafe has proven a hit with customers.
The store will be holding all kinds of family-friendly events between Saturday and May 7 to mark its first birthday. These include a tombola, face painting, a 'name the donkey' competition and donkey visits.
Senior retail manager, James Searle, said: "We’ve had an amazing first year and have been given such a warm welcome from the people of Otley.
"Come along with your family and friends during the week to help celebrate our big milestone – we'll have lots of activities for you all to join in throughout the week of birthday celebrations."
More details about the charity's work, and events at the shop, can be found at the thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk website.
Proceeds from the shop support The Donkey Sanctuary's work, which includes, from its centre at Eccup, providing riding-assisted therapy to hundreds of people with additional needs each week.
