THE café facilities at Golden Acre Park in Bramhope are in the process of being refurbished and enlarged thanks – in part – to Morley-based quarrying and recycling firm Mone Brothers.
The Leeds City Council-owned landmark attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually and the facilities are being upgraded to deal with demand.
Opened as a privately-run amusement park in 1932, Golden Acre Park actually covers an area of 137 acres.
Mone Brothers has supplied flooring, concrete bricks, lighting, wall boarding and other building materials for the new café extension, that offers up stunning views over the lake and surrounding grounds.
“This is a real landmark and I’ve spent many happy times here," said Mone Brothers’ Tim Sugden. “ We’re delighted to be able to help improve the range of facilities available to visitors, especially with our Blackhill Quarry just around the corner!”
