RESIDENTS at a care home were treated to a demonstration of painting using a spoon when they were visited by a member of Guiseley Art Club.
Carol Warneford displayed the technique after being invited to visit Primrose Court on Oxford Road.
She said: "They have a number of residents who enjoy art and are quite accomplished artists themselves. I went along and did a demonstration of painting using a spoon. I thought it might be a bit more novel and quick so as not to bore them."
Carol said the unusual method was inspired by a you tube video of an artist called Paul Beattie.
She added: "Anne Beever is the lady who organised the event and she does some great stuff in providing interesting events for the residents. She works at the home and says the residents really enjoyed the demonstration."
Residents have been invited to display work at the club's next exhibition on October 30 and November 1, and have been invited to join the club for a demonstration by Susan Ross from 1.30pm to 4pm on September 7.
