AN EIGHT year old Otley girl got to meet one of her heroines - and a very big spider - during a recent family trip.
Flora Jackson joined CBBC star and TV presenter Naomi Wilkinson on stage at the launch of of Stockeld Park's 2015 Summer Adventure programme.
Naomi, who presents Naomi's Nightmares of Nature, introduced Flora and other brave children to a variety of exotic creatures including a - 'friendly' - Tarantula.
Based near Wetherby, Stockeld Park's Summer Adventure days let younger visitors explore different Adventure Zones that offer everything from go-karting and giant inflatables zone to an 'enchanted forest'.
