Cemeteries walk
A WALK exploring the history of Fewston’s cemeteries will be held next week.
Fewston Can’t Bury Their Dead – A Tale of Two Cemeteries will start from the Washburn Heritage Centre at 9am on Tuesday.
Participants will hear about the churchyard closure and old Fewston, walk to explore Meagill Lane cemetery, and will finish with a look around Fewston churchyard.
The event, which ends at 2pm, will conclude with a two-course lunch back at the centre and costs £12.50 per person, or £10 for Washburn Society members. No dogs are allowed.
