A GUISELEY beauty salon has been recognised for its dedication to apprentices.
Bellissima Exclusive won the Apprenticeship Employer of the Year Award in the Small Business Category at the Leeds Apprenticeship Awards.
A Bellissima spokeswoman said: “Apprentices have played a big part in our expansion and we are strong believers in nurturing young people, which is one of the main reasons we won the award.”
The salon will now go through to the national finals later this year.
Teenage beautician Xena Daniels, 17, won the Against All Odds award after she returned to college just three days after breaking her leg.
Xena is a student at Yorkshire College of Beauty Therapy in Yeadon.
Judges looked for employers who have an embedded training culture and can demonstrate a dynamic delivery model which is above and beyond the requirements and is achieving outstanding results.
