THE British Heart Foundation (BHF) is calling on people in Wharfedale to take part in their Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday, July 11.
The challenge takes in 24 miles of the Yorkshire Dales and about 3000ft of climbing up Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in 12 hours to raise urgently needed funds for the nation’s heart charity.
Helen Wright, regional event organiser for the BHF, said: “Heart disease devastates too many lives, killing almost 15,000 a year in Yorkshire and Humberside alone, so it’s vital that we all get behind the fight to find a breakthrough to eradicate this deadly disease.”
To register for the event call 0845 120 8663. Alternatively visit: bhf.org.uk/y3p or email them at: events@bhf.org.uk.
