ROTARIANS in Otley have been brushing up on their first aid skills.
The Rotary Club of Otley Chevin signed up for a course after one of its members took ill during a walk and had to be taken to hospital.
About 20 members took part in the two-night St John Ambulance programme, held at the charity’s centre in Gay Lane, Otley.
The course covered dealing with heart attacks, breathing problems and choking, and when and how to get someone into the recovery position.
