ILKLEY Grammar School student member of Upstagers, Alexander Wright, received his very own curtain call last week.
Alexander, 14, had been invited to Bradford Town Hall on January 27, for a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award(DoE) presentation evening, but was unable to attend as he was in the Upstagers pantomime in Ilkley.
However, when the Lord Mayor, Ilkley councillor Mike Gibbons, came to watch a performance of Dick Whittington, he presented Alexander with his Bronze Award and certificate.
Alexander has completed his award over the last year by attending the sessions run by Bradford Council in Burley-in-Wharfedale.
