Fundraiser book sale aims to help Africa
A FUNDRAISING book sale will be held at Otley Buttercross next month.
Otley Lions organised the Friday, March 13 event to raise money to support a fellow Lions club’s aid trips to Gambia, one of Africa’s poorest countries.
The sale will run from 9am to noon with most books 50p and children’s books 25p. All proceeds go to Warmsworth and Edlington Lions’ Gambia project. And Otley Lions are also discounting books to £1 or 50p at their bookshop in Mercury Row, in March.
