A FORMER Ilkley Gazette employee has spoken of her tough experience of appearing on a television show which sent participants “back to the Stone Age”.
Kym Hall was part of Channel 5’s 10,000 BC, which selected 20 modern-day British people for an eye-opening, stressful two months survival exercise in the Bulgarian wilderness.
The show is still running, but Miss Hall decided to leave after the first week, saying: “I lasted seven days before I turfed myself out of there. I was turning into a snake going around camp spreading negativity. Nobody needs that and so I decided it was time for me to go.”
Miss Hall originally worked at the Ilkley Gazette as a sales representative in 2005 then moved to the Keighley News as advertising manager 2007. She now lives in Stafford.
