YORKSHIRE Water chief executive Richard Flint has joined business leaders from around the country on a taskforce looking to tackle water problems in the UK.
Company Business in the Community, (BITC) has united water companies, large businesses and key stakeholders to build not only a fairer society but a more sustainable future.
The group’s report, Securing the Resources for Future Prosperity, highlights the water challenges facing the UK, reasons why businesses should take action and what they need to do.
The BITC Water Taskforce, made up of many organisations including Sainsbury’s and the Met Office, and backed by the Government, is calling on all UK businesses to consider their relationship with water.
