A WEBSITE dedicated to promoting Otley has been relaunched following a major revamp.

Otley Town Partnership’s new-look Visit Otley site, which went live this week, hopes to provide a more attractive online guide to the town and its attractions.

Featuring a colourful layout the site incorporates images of major events like the Tour de France passing through and Otley Show, along with photographs of bustling market days, landmarks like Otley Bridge and the Chevin, and local businesses at work.

Otley Town Partnership’s Jane Chidley said: “We believe that the revamp is appropriately timed as Otley is expecting more visitors as a legacy of Le Tour de France.

“The website provides all the information that visitors to Otley may need, along with news and information for Otley residents and prospective residents.

“It covers everything from Otley’s many and varied annual events to outdoor activities and a guide to what’s on in town, including all the activities at the Courthouse.

“There are listings for more than 60 arts, sports and community organisations and a comprehensive list of all the pubs, cafes and restaurants.

“The website highlights the many things Otley has to offer to the visitor including the numerous TV and film locations that it has been used for over the years.

“These continue to attract lots of visitors and coach parties and help boost the economy.

“Together with the town’s setting in the middle of glorious countryside, we can show the world what Otley has to offer.”

The site, at visitotley.co.uk is funded by Otley Business Improvement District (BID) as part of its remit to promote the town and its businesses.
