Guiseley School celebrate record batch of A-level results - including picture gallery

Staff and students at Guiseley School are celebrating a record batch of A level results - with 62 per cent at A*-B.

The school says its students have secured numerous university places, including Durham,York, Manchester and Newcastle alongside a range of apprenticeships and college courses in Yorkshire and beyond.

Headteacher Paul Morrissey said the excellent results were a reflection on the hard work by students and staff throughout the year.

He said: "“This is a fantastic set of examination results published today. The students hard work has been rewarded and they must be congratulated for what they have achieved. We are very proud of them and their grades. The results reflect the dedication and commitment of both students and staff together with the continuing support of parents, carers and governors. We wish all students every future success.”

Students who achieved outstanding results were -Ellie Bickerdike, Ilya Cereso, Sophie Clayton, Holly Clarke, Danny Hamer, Calum Hayes, Jake Lester, Chloe Myers, Joseph Linney, Hazel Parkinson, Chris Soderburg, Jack Stockdale, Emily Watts and Atika Zafar.

Students picked out for performing extremely well were - Hannah Barnes, Hannah Bartle, Ben Birss, James Bloor, Isla Bowman, Alex Chantrell, Chris Dunn, Maddy Eglin, Jack Hansen-Maughan, Dan Jones, Claudia Marchbank, Chloe Mercer, George Prescott, Megan Throp, Isabel Westwood, Mathew Whitehead and Joe Woodley.
