JUDGES from both Yorkshire in Bloom and Ilkley in Bloom have cast their eye over the town's floral highlights to make their decisions in two contests.

Yorkshire in Bloom judges were shown around the town last month by local voluntary group Ilkley in Bloom, for the summer judging round of the competition.

And as Ilkley in Bloom awaits the final decision of the Yorkshire judges, it has announced the winners of its own well-support local competition.

As well as co-ordinating Ilkley's Yorkshire in Bloom entry, Ilkley in Bloom invites Ilkley residents, care homes, restaurants, pubs, businesses and allotment holders to enter their own premises in the local contest.

It's own team of judges visits the premises.

Winner of the Best Private House Garden this year was 25 Back Weston Road. To enter this category, the gardens must be visible from the road.

Judges thought the winning entry had a stunning display of flowers and lots of interest to look at.
