A new centre manager has taken over at Otley Courthouse.

Rachael Savage, previously head of hospitality and events for Sheffield Cathedral, has succeeded Chloe Perry in the role.

Her most recent projects included working with Welcome to Yorkshire to bring some of its community arts events to the cathedral during the 100 day build up to the Tour de France.

She said: "I am delighted to have joined Otley Courthouse, a building full of history where there is never a day when there isn’t something going on.

"I am really looking forward to becoming involved in the new autumn programme and bringing many new productions and events to the Courthouse to make it even more successful."

Katie Stitson, meanwhile, has also joined the venue to fill the newly created role of marketing and development worker - a position introduced in recognition of the Courthouse's growing popularity.

She said: "It is a fantastic place to work..

"Apart from Rachael and myself, everyone else who works here does so on a voluntary basis and it is great to work somewhere where everybody is so committed to providing a great venue for everyone to enjoy."

The Courthouse's programme for the autumn season, whose highlights look set to include Otley Science Festival, Ilkley Literature Festival, and a new movie matinee programme, is now on sale. Details can also be found at
