JUNE has been a busy month so far for two Ilkley mums who between them have raised almost £1,300 a new indoor soft play facility planned for Christchurch, Ilkley.
Zumba instructor and mum of two, Emma Draper, held a Family Zumba Party on June 7 at Christchurch which was enjoyed by both children and adults alike, who all danced and zumba-ed in aid of Dan's Den, at Christchurch.
She raised more than £200 in ticket sales to the event and post-exercise cakes.
Meanwhile, Felicity Tomblin completed a one mile swim in Lake Windermere last weekend as part of the Great North Swim and in doing so, raised nearly £1,100 for the venture.
his was after many weeks of swimming at Ilkley Pool and dedicated training.
She said: "As a mum of three boys, I felt very strongly about wanting to contribute to Dan's Den as I believe that parents and carers in Ilkley are crying out for all that it can provide."
Her JustGiving page is still available at justgiving.com/Felicity-Tomblin2.
The fundraising total for Dan's Den currently stands at over £134,000, which is almost two-thirds of the total funds needed.
