The Big Hoo-Ha Co's final collaborative film editing workshop with Otley Courthouse will be held next week.

The session, which arms aspiring filmmakers with the skills they need to edit, add effects and merge clips, takes place at the Big Hoo-Ha Co's Woolpack Studios, on Bondgate, from 7.30pm to 9pm on Tuesday, June 24. Admission

costs £4.

The Courthouse's next Science Cafe, meanwhile, takes place on Thursday, June 26, when several experts in their field will give quickfire slide presentations followed by question and answer sessions. Open to all, the Science Cafe

starts at 7.30pm and costs £4 or £3.

Then on Saturday, June 28, cycling fans will have the chance to star in their very own version of the Tour de France when Harrogate Theatre and Il Pixel Rosso present Le Grand Voyage.

Each 15 minute show - there will be 22 between 2pm and 9pm - involves one person being equipped with video goggles and headphones and then asked to mirror the actions being shown in a film to enjoy an immersive race - or

unexpected detour.

Courthouse centre manager Chloe Perry said: "It is brilliant fun as you’re immersed into the race, until you take a wrong turn and end up on a fantastical voyage.

"It’s the Tour de France meets Wacky Races via the opening credits of Police Squad."

Tickets for Le Grand Voyage, which is for anyone aged 12 or over, cost £5.
