Four more strikes have been called in the continuing dispute in the Yorkshire ambulance service, starting later this week.

Members of Unite will strike tomorrow, Monday and Saturday, March 29 between 3pm and 8pm on all three days. There will be a further five-hour strike between 3am and 8am on Monday, March 31.

Unite has cited the continuing refusal of the management at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust to hold constructive talks over patient and staff safety issues for calling out its 375 members on strike.

A spokesman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust said: “Our focus will continue to be on safeguarding patient care and minimising disruption.”
