A Wharfedale health clinic is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The business that became Physio Logic Ltd was started by principal Wendy Carswell and began life on The Gills back in March, 1994, before spending several years running from a town house on Carr Bank Bottom.

It was in 2001 that it became a company and the following year the physiotherapy and sports injuries clinic moved into its current premises, on Westgate.

Over its two decades the firm has enjoyed a number of highlights including, in 2009, being awarded Willing Provider status by the NHS.

It went on to trial a successful, nine-month NHS physiotherapy service for Leeds Primary Care Trust for the provision of physiotherapy to Charles Street Surgery in Otley.

The clinic is also a centre for training and provides regular postgraduate courses for physiotherapists, osteopaths and sports therapists.

Wendy said: “I would like to take the opportunity to thank all our patients – we now have 7,000 registered – for supporting us over the last 20 years.

“I would be honoured if they continued to make Physio Logic their healthcare practice.”

The business started with Wendy trading on her own as a chartered physiotherapist but has grown into a much bigger venture.

It now employs seven more physiotherapists, two registered osteopaths, a chiropodist, a podiatrist and a doctor qualified in Chinese medicine.
