A Burley-in-Wharfedale nursing home has been awarded top marks for care by its own residents.
Bupa’s Burley Hall Nursing Home was given the seal of approval when 93 per cent of residents who responded rated the overall service they received in the home as ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’.
The results follow an annual independent survey of residents which has been running for 15 years.
The survey provides those living in the home with an opportunity to comment and give feedback on areas including quality of staffing, choice of food, activities within the home and the home’s environment, including residents’ rooms and communal areas.
Residents also praised the individual care they received, with 100 per cent of respondents rating the quality of personal care as ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’.
Home manager Lorraine Moss said: “Our residents are the best judges of the care we provide and I’m delighted to see such a positive response from them.
“Ensuring our residents’ well-being is our absolute priority, so knowing we’re making so many residents happy with the individual care we provide is extremely rewarding.
"This result is a tribute to our hard-working and committed people and the excellent care they provide every day.”
