Staff and customers at Ilkley’s Bar T’at toasted the bar getting top marks in a recent unannounced quality test by a Cask Marque assessor.

Cask Marque accreditation is widely regarded in the hospitality industry as a benchmark for beer excellence and is awarded by the Cask Marque Trust, an independent body established to ensure recognition for pubs and alehouses that serve ale and beer at the highest standards.

Beer and ale is assessed for its temperature, taste, appearance and aroma – all of which were judged to be excellent, with Bar T’at on Cunliffe Road scoring the perfect 100 per cent.

Amy Keegan, general manager, was very pleased with the score. She said: “All of the team here at Bar T’at are delighted with the recognition. Colin Butler, our cellarman, who has been with us for three years, has championed our quest for the perfect pint and has been instrumental in maintaining our high standards and unique selection of products.

“I’d like to thank all of our customers for their loyalty and support. They continue to create a warm and friendly atmosphere and make Bar T’at what it is.”
